Happy Booday!!

Everyone stay safe and please watch out for the little ghouls and goblins if driving tonight. My evening will be an early retirement to the bed with a good book or playing Guild Wars behind locked doors with lights out. There will be candy at the front door though.

Nothing Like A Garden

This is an original Purple Giraffe piece of art. She has several posted on the web and I like them all, but this one speaks happiness to me. Even the bumblebee is kewl. Look at the smile on his face. Ms Giraffe laughs a lot and is a joy and treasure in my life. Her new cousin Mally is coming along fine and I see the same joy even though she's still a baby. Last week my niece made photographs and it's great to have them. Thank you daughters Beagle, Verdana and niece Lex. Big Daddy always opens those emails first.

Anyway, it is nice outside and Tuesday is a more positive start than yesterday. Thought I'd share this fabulous nature study with y'all. This is compliments of Artsonia.com which is the largest kids' art museum in the world. Check it, especially if you are a parent of a budding artist!

Hulu and Fall

Still waiting on my Hulu invitation. This is the streaming service offered by the NBC family of TV channels (includes Sci-Fi,, Bravo, E!, NBC of course and others). Might be a funny name but look at Google, lol. ArsTechnica has an informative article about the new service. Somehow this online goodie seems wayyyy overdue. It is ad driven, but so is most TV. Wired also has a review. If the above image is indeed their logo, it is drab. Oh well, at least it's not a flaming peacock of cubism.

Loving these cool nights and mild days. Nice to not hear the roar of the AC unit. Sure am glad it's there for the hot days though. Autumn is a nice transition and most of us in the Deep South are glad it's here. Whew! Summer was hot! Think it will finally snow again? Seems like years since a day was spent drinking hot chocolate and lazily peering out the window at the world pass by slowly.

Remember Wednesday night is Boonight. Please take your children ONLY to known safe places to trick or treat. Guild Wars members; the Halloween festival is in full swing in Lion's Arch and Kamadan. Meet you there.

Time to crawl under the quilt and sleep. Nighters.

Snail Mail, It's a Good Thing!

If you have picked up mail in the past few days most likely you've found the pink postcard from the US Postal Service. Did you throw it away? Here's the site they listed - USPS Household. Did you know that you can create stamps with photos? Yep, that's right. Got a favorite picture? Adore and love that wifey-poo? Crazy about hubby? Love your child or children? Gotta' pet that is photogenic? You can now turn them into postage stamps. Ain't that juz kewl? I'd use my El Camino that was stolen. Gosh, I really miss that vehicle.

Of course there are many other services provided like free labels and scheduling package pick up. They even have a greetings card section. Bet they don't try to put spyware on your computer either! Many services are listed here. The local PO in Saltillo has friendly smiling people behind the counter. It's not unusual to hear laughter when waiting in line. I ship stuff with them all the time and have never had a problem. With the holidays coming up their effort to solicit my business has worked. Check out the link listed above. Pink postcard...who'd a thought it?

“A minister asked a little boy how to get to the Post Office. After the little boy told him, the minister said, Why don't you come to church tonight? I'm giving instructions on how to get to heaven. After thinking a minute, the boy replied, I don't think so. You don't even know how to get to the Post Office.”

Quick Refs for Spending

ThinkGeek is a good site. It resides in my Bookmarks Toolbar and I 'window' shop there a lot. Wouldn't do for me to have money. Every gadget and T-Shirt they sell would be found at the beach house. If waiting for Spybot or FileWasher to finish this site is usually up.

Another great site is NewEgg.com. They are hardware and software intense not so much gadgets and T-Shirts. Most geeks/nerds I know use this site to purchase parts if they can't find them locally. They are very dependable, shipping is fast and it's rare to receive something DOA. This link is in my Bookmarks Toolbar too.

50 Computing Tips

Celebrities that are geeks? Check out Computerworld. There are some shockers included in the list. Interesting. Geekdom or nerdiness is everywhere and technology finds a new way to embrace us almost daily. While there are bad guys in the tech business (ever noticed bad guys are everywhere?) it is refreshing to see people doing things positive with this 8th wonder of the world.

PCMag.com has issued their 50 top computing tips for the year. Here you can find how to convert to USB 2.0, how to make a recovery partition, what not to buy over the holidays, updates for a slow computer, etc. This is a good site that has great depth. They tend not to use annoying popups, but the site is populated with static ads. Hey, so is your local newspaper. Check it out. It's bookmarked at the beach house. There's great info here!

About yesterday's post: Yes, Flexiril had been taken earlier in the day, around noon, for an aching back. Please note the time of the post. No, I will not retract anything. If you don't like what was said remember our free speech policy in this country and deal with it. I like women a lot, but not Hillary. Dissenters please stop and I'll do my best to keep negative comments to a minimum. Political issues belong on more qualified sites anyway. Not here.

Keep flaming me and I will post a list of remarks she has made during her political career and some of you will stroke out. Let's have peace and be glad we live in a great country that endorses freedom. Besides, she's been mentioned here too many times.

"We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it."

War of the Sexes? Bet Female!

Every once in a while it has to be said that this blog is NOT a forum. There is no great effort here to align with the "politically correct." Most posts are varied and many subjects are covered. There's a lot of jabbing my own ego because of certain inabilities. If you can't laugh at mistakes made then you are indeed sad. Certain beliefs are held at the beach house and if you find them offensive then start a blog or website and get on with your baddd self.

There is an enormous wealth of information on the web. With the election coming up next year I've researched most of the the known candidates Republican and Democrat. Anyone that has read this site knows I am a Republican. If you choose to align with the Democrats more power to ya! Thank the Good Lord for the wonderful bunch of folks that started this whole US of A back in 1776 and structured a government based on freedom. Oh yeah, let me mention I got my dumbass shot in Vietnam defending your right and freedom to vote your mind. What have you done?

This next Presidential election will be interesting. No matter who wins they will have my backing as an American. I am not especially happy with some of the present policies. And let's face it; I don't like Hillary. Sorry, don't know the woman personally and have NO desire to meet her. If she is elected it is my duty as an American to stay loyal to my flag and country.

One thing is damn sure. You won't hear me whining if she does win. I'll patiently wait 4 years and gladly accept the inevitable change. BTW, for all you smart asses that say I am against her because she's a woman, go screw yourselves. You are idiots. I have two wonderful daughters, two awesome granddaughters and many close friends that are female. Mother is awesome, and I have a sister-in-law that's wayyy kewl. My ex-wife ain't bad and should have shot me during the purple haze years. Thank you ma'am for not doing so. It's my firm belief they'd thrown any charges out of court based on my goofiness during that period. I'd certainly support a woman candidate.

Women tend to be smarter than men. Their ability to multitask far exceeds us buckethead males. Women are more patient and resourceful. But, I just don't like anyone that is a real bitch. And most folks don't. I try to avoid them, male and female. I really hate when I am bitchy. So there. If you don't agree and want to write hate mail that's fine. Again, start your own site. Doing this is not rocket science.

These are my opinions and God Bless America!

"The supply of good women far exceeds that of the men who deserve them."

My Favorite Color? Green

Television is a weird medium. Such a wonderful tool that can educate and at the same time a boob toob that rots the mind. Suffering from insomnia and still awakening in spite of the sleep med taken, last night found me engrossed in a a 1.5 hour program on the Science Channel titled Green: The New Red, White, and Blue. This is TV at its very best. ALL people should watch this program. Make me Emperor of the Known Universe and I'd force everyone to view this well produced, nicely paced show about the survival of our planet.

This has a slant of controversy on my part. The person responsible for this informative 90 minutes is Tom Friedman. I like Friedman just about as much as Hillary. Not one of my favorite people. His political views are liberal and he can be irritating as hell. Yet, this was well done and he kept his neoliberal nazism to a minimum. He even had something nice to say about President Bush and that's rare these days.

Credit where credit is due; this is a good piece of work. Check the schedule in the link above and watch this offering. There, my tree hugging for the day is almost over (read the quote).

It Has a Vicious Streak a Mile Wide!

Little known by its proper name which is the Rabbit of Caerbonnog most people know it as the Killer Rabbit that guards a cave in the hilarious movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It is sometimes called the vorpal bunny which is in some way connected to Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky. Anyway, Christmas is coming up and slippers are always an easy gift that are usually needed, especially if they are worn to go to the mailbox or get the newspaper in the rain or snow. Now I know not everyone is a fan of this movie and some think it downright stupid. Us geeks n nerds see it as great entertainment and delight in watching it over and over. You can check out the details at ThinkGeek.

Fun Buying Roast Beast and Produce

I live within walking distance of a grocery store. It's a good market, but that said, usually vittles are purchased about 7 miles up the road in a small community called Guntown, MS. It's a nice peaceful town and the population is slightly over 1,100. A great battle was fought near here during that Yankee War of Aggression and Nathan Bedford Forrest opened a large can of whupass. Anyway, they've a grocer there named Sam Mitchell that's the bomb! It is so nice to go in and see pleasant happy folks. People will stop what they're doing and help you.

Sam is expanding Mitchell's Grocery. Glad to see that. BTW, he has the best butchers and meat counter in all the Deep South. Prices are reasonable and they'll order stuff for ya. His employees are loyal and turnover is not that great as far as people. This is a fun way to shop. It's reminiscent of the days on this planet when people had manners and spoke with a smile on their faces. It's a clean, well-lighted place.

It's been rough the past couple of weeks and the effort to try and regain ground is trying and tiring at times. Med changes make me irritable and sometimes the frustration has had me quackers. The bathroom and dining/bar area are on the cleaning agenda tonight. Then tomorrow the kitchen. With a new stock of cleaning supplies and the gusto of a hound dawg the beach house shall once again reach its sub-normal standard. There's food and refreshing beverages too!

Why am I babbling about all these things? Nothing like a trip to Mitchell's Grocery to kick the spirits up. Plus it always makes me chuckle when General Forrest's tactics with the boys in blue come to mind. We might not have won the war, but we sure did fight like hell at Brice's Crossroads, lol. Please forgive me my Northern friends, after all, y'all did win.

Moto? Big Plus So Far

Since its debut the Motorola Razr phone has been controversial. They were hindered by buzzing, humming, failure to hold a battery charge, screens going blank and many more problems. One of my best friends went through 4 of them before changing to another brand. I think this has improved.

My PofS Sony z520 has to be one of the worst pieces of technology ever owned. Beagle, Mudslingr and I had them and they all failed. Initially they were good phones, but went to technical hell quickly. Yesterday Mudslingr called and said he had a replacement for mine and I rushed over there so I could start hearing the phone ring again instead of having to watch it all the time to see the flashing lights. That's miserable.

So far I like the Razr. No inherent noise and my tinnitus would go whacky if it buzzed or hummed. The battery life seems good and the blue tooth range is awesome. It really does 30'. The buttons are big and my fat fingers can manipulate them. And guess what? This is not the latest generation phone. I like it. It works,

Thank you Mudslingr. Thank you a lot. My stress level has lowered a few notches.

It's a Garbo Weekend

There's work scheduled today, tomorrow and next week. Finally, I'll have money to pay someone for house cleaning. The riding lawn mower is going to the shop (I hope). A new weed eater has to be purchased too. If anyone is doing back surgery at a discounted rates or will legally prescribe something that eases the pain without knocking me out please, puh-lease let me know. One of these days the replacement garage door opener will be installed. It's been in the garage still boxed up since Paul Revere took his ride. Guess someone will be glad to do that the day after I drop dead. And I sure hope to wax my 15 year old truck, that I like a lot, one more time before the big dirt nap. Still miss the El Camino. A clean house, a kewl old vehicle, the ability to mow and trim the yard without taking flexiril and a smile. Gosh, I am a simple man, with simple needs.

Yet, I'm tired. There's been no fun for the past two weeks except for a few hours yesterday when I visited with my oldest daughter and her new baby girl and a few minutes last week when I stopped by Red Magnet to visit with my youngest daughter. I need a break. Damn it, I am not asking anyone for help, but just leave me alone for a few days so I can organize and rest. All this negative garbage sucks. I want to go back to being my Republican, United Methodist, Parrothead, Optimistic self. BTW, Hillary Clinton is the Devil. Just felt like saying that since this is my space and not a forum. Also, please remember I can edit your comments. You say something nice about the Hillarybeast and I'll change it to where you are sucking up to Mitt or Fred.

In the meantime, please consider the quote of the day. Really consider it. Then pray.

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."

TGIF, Only Two More Damn Days to Work This Week

This has been a frightful week. Rebuilding the beach house gaming machine found me trying to use a motherboard that wouldn't see the CPU. It's an Opteron and if I had only read Gigabyte's manual (83 pages I had to print out) where it states in plain English 'will NOT work with Opteron CPUs' then I'd have saved 2 agonizing days. Somewhere in the rebuild one of my XFX video cards laid down again. Even though they are nice people I won't buy their products again and care nothing about wrangling with them concerning the possible replacement of this one. Neither of these motherboards will ever be configured SLI again. The Gigabyte board may just go in the trash. No need to take a chance.

It's time to return to the solid product lines I've used down through the years. The new motherboard will be an Asus and the video cards will probably be Asus, BFG or EVGA. No matter how you look at it this computer configuration has only run SLI for less than a month. That sucks, especially when the 2 video cards cost more than most computers. BTW comments are really not needed about these problems. I still like Gigabyte, but need a break from this particular board. Also, if anyone has a legal copy of XP for sale let me know. Don't want to sell my copy of Vista, but every time it boots up something else is wrong. If you like it fine. Yes, I know it will be a good OS eventually. In the meantime, leave me the hell alone about it for a few days.

Enough whining, Back to bed.

EDIT: There is nothing wrong with the Gigabyte board. It will work fine with an Athlon 64 chip I have at the beach house. Frustration was weighing on me and lack of sleep didn't help when making thus post originally. Vista is still doing quirky things, but it seems to be stabilizing.

I Am A Nerd

This is so very, very cool. It may make for sore fingers, but it'd be a prize among any geek's possessions. Check out ThinkGeek.

Here's my favorite. This year I am saving pennies and plan to own one of these darlings. My Parrothead watch (TYVM Lisa) finally bit the dust after many good years of service and they don't sell them now. So my next one will be a binary watch which is also featured at ThinkGeek.

Is there a geek or nerd in your life? The answer is yes or you probably wouldn't be reading this post. You may be a geek or nerd. This site has many wonderful items and it would be nice if they had a chain of brick and mortar stores. Bet they'd sell billions n billions! The holiday shopping season is just around the corner and shopping online is wayyyyyyy kewl. Try it, you'll like it!

Good Medicine

Many years ago we had a triceratops as a pet and had to secure the garbage can lids to keep out the renegade stegosaurus that roamed the neighborhood. Ahhh, the good old days of youth. Anyway, there was an event that happened each week. The family gathered around the newfangled television every week and watched all 278 episodes the Carol Burnett show. We'd sit inside our cave on our slate sofa with coconut shell coffee mugs in hand and watch this wonderful variety show.

Carol was funny, but the dude that always stole the show was Tim Conway. He needed Harvey Korman to be in the skit (that's those short comedy things you see today on SNL and MadTV) supposedly as the straight man. Harvey always cracked up and his inability to keep a straight face was part of the fun. This was good, clean fun. No profanity or heavy sexual references were needed to produce warm hilarious results. Here is a great example:

Ashby Rhett Culpepper, III, Esq., Jr., sent this clip. Please keep them coming. This was viewed 8 times in a row and I am still grinning. God in Heaven knows a good laugh can be used around here nowadays.

GRRRRRR!

After sleeping from 11PM-1AM and then again from 6AM-9AM my fight with the new equipment has failed miserably. The new motherboard? Haven't a clue. Tried all different downloads, configurations and could get it to post but that was all. So it's back to the old setup in the new tower and only one video card will work now. I have to drive over 100 miles today and am waiting to see if a way overdue payment may make the mailbox.

Please bear with me. Last week was the roughest of the year and this one has started out at a more negative pace. My blood pressure is high and my attitude is downright grouchy. On top of all this I have to finish a putting a PC back together that can't be repaired. Since tomorrow has cable pulls scheduled a way must be found to recover from all this insanity. I still have not made time for my daughter and granddaughter from Louisiana that are visiting and have been here since Thursday. This is ridiculous.

Gonna take something for this pounding headache and hit the road. Screw benchwork for a while. Be good to leave this pig sty for a while, but sad to return and see such a mess.

Beach House Network Outages

Just a note to let everyone know the beach house network will be up and down until this evening. Hopefully the Teamspeak Server will not be included in this reworking and should stay on line. Hardware is being moved at workstation locations and there will be down time. If you have a true emergency please do not hesitate to use the cell phone. I'll notify everyone when things are back to sub-normal.

Thanks

Aways wanted a Jeep. A real one with the soft top. I could care less about 4 wheel drive and the 4 cylinder would probably be fine. It's the spirit of having the top down and cruising on the boulevard. Oh well, at least my brother owns a new corvette and that's a weird way to live vicariously. Haven't even seen it, but I did look at a picture of one on the internet. Speaking of weird, this commercial hasn't received any airplay locally, but it should. It's short and a great laugh. Take a look:

This link is courtesy of Ashby Rhett Culpepper, III, Esq., Jr. So funny. Ashby thinks the ad department might be doing 'shrooms.

Gosh, my animal loving daughters will like this next link. Got an email from Red Dragon telling me about this tough Arizona sheriff that houses prisoners in tents in the desert and is no nonsense when it comes to enforcement of the law. Seems he also has a softer side and is concerned about abused animals. Please read what The Voice For Dogs.Org has to say about Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Good to start Monday on positive notes. Thanks Dragon and Ashby for some cheerful, upbeat input. And, boys n girls, keep them cards n letters a comin'! Preferably by email via cybersouth@gmail.com. In the meantime, please remember Tuesday is less than 24 hours away!

Darling, Could You Turn Over? Your Holster is Chafing My Leg.

Weapons? I have no problem with weapons. There are many problems with some of the people that own them. If you have children in the house buy a gun safe. If you have an irate wife buy a gun safe. Keep the key hidden or don't tell the combination. If you have an irate husband buy a gun safe. Make the husband give YOU the key or YOU change the combination. If you live in a bad neighborhood purchase that gun safe. If you live in Memphis, Tn., don't worry about the gun safe just go everywhere armed...with one in the chamber. Even wear it to bed at night.

This recent rash of children acting out aggression with deadly results is lurid, insane and stoppable. Kill all of them and their parents. Parents are responsible for minor children, right? If you are going to own weapons, be responsible. Don't give access to anyone. Was visiting a friend of mine in Jonesboro several years ago and he had a nice collection. He took the weapons out of the gun safe one at a time and knew how to handle firearms. When through, the safe was locked. This is a responsible gun owner. In this crazy world with lunatics rampant owning a weapon is not an issue. It's a high priority. It's an even higher priority to act responsibly.

This Makes Me Mad as Hell

Are you believing a "Mother" bought her 14 year old child a 22 rifle, 9mm rifle, and 22 pistol? This kid was the one somewhere around Philadelphia, PA that was thwarted in his attempt to 'Columbine' his school. The reason she bought the guns is that "Daddy" tried but got caught on the application and has to serve house arrest due to a previous felon charge. These people aren't parents. They are agents of Satan. Hang these assholes on court square and leave the bodies to rot! Lobotomize the 14 year old! Damn them! Wait, they are already. Anyone that goes into a school and kills children should get the death penalty automatically. Damn why and trying to resolve their murdering little issues and hearts. Anyway, read about it at NYTimes.

The world is truly an insane and scary place at times.

Smile and the World Continues, Whine and You'll be Alone!

It's a new day and things are in the normal happy mode at the beach house. Gosh, it's amazing how hard it is to accept those things that cannot be changed. Certainly I am a blessed man. Through God's Grace I've had an awesome life. And for the next two weeks there will be many visits with both of my daughters and the little ones. Lots' of laughter is expected. Mal's cut some teeth and Verdana says she's happier. The Purple Giraffe is always a hoot and brings a smile to the face of everyone she meets. Whew, nice to be in optimistic mode again. Do ya think it's all a matter of attitude? LOL!

Got to go do service calls then continue the transformation of pig sty to beach house. Stay casual my sisters and brothers!

Zoners Need Not Apply

Why is it that people assume techs are mind readers and can anticipate all needs under any circumstance? I use a PDA to help my poor lagging brain remember things and still have so much on my mind it's hard to remember everything. A call or mention of something like replacing a ceiling tile after a cable run is certainly not offending if relayed with good positive manners. To expect me to read your mind about such a thing is just plain dumbass. Look, I make mistakes every day. So do you. There's only been One that didn't and thank God that we can seek forgiveness through Him for our daily screw ups. Please remember, we have not yet reached the point where telepathy is possible.

The worst thing one can do is mess with my family and many of my good friends ARE considered family. My family is precious and I didn't spend 2 years in Vietnam and the rest of my life learning to be a pushover. The next thing is jacking me around about money. Don't do this, and I mean it. I have no problems opening a can of whupass lawyer or otherwise when it comes to someone playing games about money. My rates are very fair and it is the credo of the beach house never to take on a job that is out of the beach house league. The third thing that irks me is the expectation that I'll magically read your mind. Stop it. You'll not likely see telepathy for many many years to come.

It's very apparent I have no problems about initiating web responses to what I consider stupid and unfair practices. I had a Memphis VA Hospital Sucks site up for a while. Their attention span is short, but they took notice and several of us finally received badly needed VA care. There is a site counter at the very bottom/left corner of this blog. God knows I love y'all coming here, even the dissenters. Yes, there will always be opposition. This is NOT a forum. And trying to be politically correct has arrived at a point to where it just plain sucks. There is probably not a Silent Majority bone in my body.

Nice, polite people are to be admired. I abhor and despise despots and bullies. Many years ago I stopped a woman from beating a child in the grocery store. Poor little fellow had been slapped into a display of cans that fell on him and he was bleeding profusely and she kept wailing away. Couldn't reason with the hateful thing and she turned on me. She threatened to kill me and the police were called. They carried her out kicking and screaming. Know what? To hell with the bitch. I hope they put her kids in a foster home and provided them safety. Let's face it, some folks are beyond the realm of goofiness and insanity. These are the Twilight Zoners.

This is my story...and I'm a stickin' to it. Be nice. I don't have time nor any incentive whatsoever to deal with rude, rapacious people. If you take offense then you really don't need to be here, do you? If you agree please let me know by commenting.

Titles n Clouds

Whatever happened to http://www.cybersouth.us? It's there and when the new machine is completed this page will be ported to that address. Don't go changing bookmarks or favorites because blogspot will forward you there. Someone asked about the possibility of a name change. That's up in the air. It'll probably remain the same. Thought about changing it to Cybersouth - from the lawn mower shed of the ailing. Also considering Cybersouth - home of the optimistic warp whine. Or how about Cybersouth - reports from a whiny bitchy lardbutt guy that's trying to be happy? How about Cybersouth - watchdog of the world for Nazi possums? Like I said, it'll probably remain the same.

The companies call these clusters "cloud" computing. A cloud is a collection of machines that can serve as a host for a variety of applications, including interactive Web 2.0 applications. Clouds support a broader set of applications than do traditional computing grids, because they allow various kinds of middleware to be hosted on virtual machines distributed across the cloud, Haikes said. Hit the Ground Running and Came to a Screeching Halt

Nothing like showing up early for that first Monday morning appointment and the lights aren't on, nobody's home. Might as well face it I'm addicted to shove. Please forgive me Robert Palmer (God rest his soul). Oh well, leaving the house without meds or coffee hasn't helped. Needless to say the beach house WILL be the next stop on today's tour.

Please be careful when downloading or surfing the net. There is a resurgence of PSGuard, Spy Sheriff or whatever they are called today. This is nasty stuff and usually the best cure is to format the drive. You will lose data. Also, Yahoo is still as nasty as ever. Avoid this horrible site. Don't believe me? Google and search for 'Yahoo and spyware' then be amazed. Please take off your ass hat and stop using this horrible portal.

Ahhhhh, Smell the Coffee

Lot on the plate today. Will remote in to several networks for regular maintenance and have to reconstruct a file system on a server that a rocket scientist decided to change. Needless to say those admin privileges have been revoked with the gusto of a hound dog. A CDRW has to be replaced on one machine and another is due to be wiped and reinstalled with Windows ME (yuck!).

It's very possible the new build will be started later today on the beach gaming machine. And yes, there will be the ceremonial mowing of the yard and house cleaning followed by the traditional bitching, wringing of hands, loud sobbing and warp whining. BUT! The Good Lord willin', furniture may even be rearranged. That's always fun to do alone. Yes, yes I predict much Aleve, aspirin, BC powder, etc., will be ingested.

Now please excuse me while I go crank up the heating pad.

Thoughts While Glancing at the Morning Dew

Ahhhhhh Saturday. Time to break out the lawn mower and Flexiril. There's still dew on the grass and the temperature will be in the 90s today. Only about 1/4 of the backyard to go though. Just two small sections. Then I can start all over again. Come on cold weather! I want to hurt my back by waxing the truck again, damn it all, not by mowing the yard! Or installing the replacement garage door opener. Maybe even assembling the new air compressor that is still in the box! Sheesh!

The weed eater is still in pieces on the veranda. Trying to find parts locally has been tough. It may have to be tossed out and replaced. Wow, what a weird tool. Hate it when using it, but long for it when it's not working. I think all gas powered weed eaters should come with a prescription for Flexiril attached to the pull handle. Mowing the yard is bad enough, but the weed eater seems to laugh as the back pain increases. And I bet there's a city ordinance against staking out a goat on a rope. Besides , I've seen Jurassic Park and know what will happen if I start goat staking.

Enough whining. Either gonna have some coffee or take a nap. Later, y'all.
