Old Virus With New Twists

The Postcard from Hallmark Warning or Postcard from 'a family member' and several variations are once again making the rounds. Don't even touch this email with your mouse. Delete it immediately. It is NOT a hoax and can harbor a virus ready to attack your machine. Take a look at Hoax-Slayer for more information. Stay away from snopes.com, they drop adware on your PC. Be sure and DO NOT click on any links in such an email, especially the snopes link. This is where you mess up. I repeat, do not even touch this email with your mouse. Delete it. Then delete it permanently. If you have been diligent and are sure you've done all Windows Updates then your PC should be safe. You might want to scroll down and read some of the comments on the Hoax-Slayer link. People that write this virus garbage deserve slow death. These creeps once again prove that Satan exists and is very active. Thanks MJR for the tip!

I'd like to thank the techs again for commenting about yesterday's post. Several angles to the predicament had me concerned. Mis-information just plain sucks. So glad further research was done or the wrong hardware might have been purchased. One really sad thing is an extended warranty that had never been used just expired a month or so ago. I'll keep you posted about how Hewlett Packard handles this problem.
