Late Night

After sleeping through prime time the Dimension 3000 was declared sane and working. Upgraded RAM to one gig and reinstalled OS. It has a hyperthreading processor so the speed is nice! Redoing a machine is always unpredictable. You never know what may happen. This one stayed on overnight and ran scans properly. It's going home in the morning. Gosh it takes a long time to do all the procedures properly.

Sorry about not returning calls, but I don't think anyone wanted 11:00PM return calls. Will try to contact everyone today. Yesterday was one of those drop to the recliner and drift away days. Thanks MJR for the nice gift!

Folks, the new AVG 9 Antivirus Free Edition is a new, improved version of 8.5. If you let it optimize during the end of the installation (only takes a few minutes) your scan time will be reduced enormously. Go to Tools, Advanced, Schedule and tell it to scan Local Hard Drives. Glad to see this improvement. Those 3 hour scans were driving my crazy.
