Vista SP2 and RAZR2 V9x (How's that for diverse topics?)

Getting an early start today. Had trouble downloading SP2 for Vista, but it's making nice this morning. Slow. That's to be expected. Windows is probably bogged down with massive bandwidth problems. So far the Vista SP2 (Service Pack 2) has been a great asset. Machines seem to respond more rapidly and security has been enhanced. As always, download at your own risk. That said, I now install SP2 on ALL Vista machines. Please quit listening to the biased news media. Vista is a fine operating system. If buying a new computer just make sure it's running either the Home Premium or Ultimate version. Home Basic sucks and should have stayed on the drawing board, or better yet, put in the trash. Vista Business has had some problems too. Shucks, the Ultimate version is just a few dollars more than Business so go for it and save all that money you'd otherwise spend on headache medicine.

Have had several people ask about the Motorola RAZR2 V9x phone. So far, it's great! I think they made this phone with 'techs on the go' in mind. I like it a lot! I did consider an iPhone, but just can't afford all those extra monthly charges. Yes, that's right. My Windows Nazi self considered buying an Apple product. Face it, it's just not the end of the world. If they ever offer their computers at a reasonable price there will be one at the beach house. Windows users, don't start thrashing me. My front line defense tool will probably always be a Windows laptop. Back to the phone. It's slick. It feels good, has an okay battery life, reception is great and I can literally lay it on top of my computer and talk without interference. Fun to discover all the new features in my new "toy" on a day to day basis.

Keep the faith and God Bless America.
