Load 'Em Up and Shoot Boys!

There was a character back many years ago that did goofy commercials on local TV channels named Montego Mike. For the most part they centered around the home satellite antenna craze back when "C" band was popular, aka big dishes. He threw TVs off the store roof, shot one with a pistol, had a group of "outlaws" assemble and shoot into a large stack of old TVs, and had a mean parrot and a bulldog that showed up on occasion. He wore a large black cowboy hat, a long black coat, and always had on sunglasses. His children were embarrassed to tell their friends he was their Dad and a lot of people thought he was on drugs. He wasn't on drugs although I heard he would rip the cap off a Jack Daniels bottle and throw it away. It's rumored he previously lived through some purple haze years after his two tours of Vietnam. I think there was a total of 27 or 28 different ads concerning this character. He even did a few commercials for a local coffee shop now out of business (yes, it's appropriate). Due to someone erasing the last existing copy of these horrible productions there is, happily, no record of these silly, downright stupid ads. No doubt his listening to the song posted yesterday had something to do with the name. He had visited there and thought it was a small corner of paradise on earth. In conclusion, it is fortunate that no copies of this foolishness exist. Hope this satisfies the discussion that can be found in yesterday's comments.
