Let There Be Electrical Light

Verdana and Mal are going home tomorrow. Uncle Snake returned to Baton Rouge/New Orleans earlier this week due to a sense of duty concerning his profession. He is here to pick them up and they return to Baton Rouge early tomorrow. The electricity is up and running in their neighborhood and there was no damage to their house other than massive debris in the yard. Trees were down all over the area, but the flow of traffic has returned to nominal normal. Uncle Snake cleaned out the freezer and fridge before spoilage became a problem. Their beloved cats are also home and very happy to be there. All in all, things were most fortunate for them. Many others weren't so lucky.

Big E said his roof was ruined and damage was worse in his area. He lives about 5 miles from Verdana, Uncle Snake and Mal. The eye of the storm passed over his house and he reported it as freaky! Big E always has been one for understatement, lol. I am just glad that everyone is safe and the mass exodus was beneficial in saving lives. Now we await hurricane 'Ike'. This one looks nasty. Keep all these good folks in your prayers. They will need help in recovering and weathering this next storm.
