Music Monday on Tuesday (Again)

I think VEVO really sucks. It goes against all ideals of internet usage. Oh well, sometimes you have to let it leak through. Believe me I tried to find this video without VEVO. Just X out the commercials. At least they will let us embed music instead of linking. Vince has many videos posted. He is a great singer and and great guitarist. This is a a feel good, good time song. Gosh, a lot of the noobs in the music world should watch this gathering and see the true meaning of the word talent (yes, the could have done without the cornball intro).

Okay not a huge country music fan here, but this is classic. Look at all the people. Three keyboard players - Michael Mcdonald, Delbert McClinton and Leon Russell. On guitar you have the great Carl Perkins (r.i.p.), Lee Roy Parnell, Jimmy Dickens (r.i.p) and of course Vince. That's the legendary Lee Sklar on Bass, Pam Tillis singing backup, several members of the Kentucky Headhunters, Marty from Shenandoah, and Tim Schmidt of Eagles fame may be in there somewhere. Reba McIntyre is waiting tables and Ralph Emery is in the audience. Tell me if I missed anyone!

Nice to take a break and hear someone sing instead of talking trash with every other word some type of profanity. How in the world does anyone conceive of rap being music? Look at Kanye West's crude rude interruption of Taylor Swift's award presentation. Somebody should have jumped on stage and beat the hell out of that jerk. He can't even carry a tune! New music can be a mysterious, dangerous place. Thank goodness there are still some great entertainers making a splash today!

Sorry about being a day late, but the spirit of the 4th of July still had me yesterday.

It was my understanding that VEVO was to be the pay version of YouTube with nothing "removed" from the free version like with HULU. But, first thing they did is pull all the "hot" items from youtube to VEVO
