RAM is Like Closet Space, You Can't Have Too Much

Yesterday 1 more gig of RAM was added to this machine bringing the total to 3 gigs. There is no doubt that it helps. Response time is quicker. Before it was hard to believe that the extra gig would help, but the difference is very obvious. So Microsoft recommends 1 gig and the beach house recommends 3 when it comes to Windows Vista. The sweet spot with XP is 512 megs which equal 1/2 of a gig. So all the Windows Nazis fussing about me calling Vista a resource hog...shut up! Besides, it may be a pig, but it's a nice pig. Anyway, this is for machines that are doing "extreme" things. The operating system seems fine with 1 gig if using it in a normal scenario. A business should find that to be true too. Thanks Forest for encouraging me to perform this upgrade.

It's raining. And cooler. I sit with the window open enjoying this brief respite from the scorching summer. We have needed rain badly. Since Mississippi is very much an agrarian state rainfall is important. Cotton needs along with other crops. God bless our farmers. Excuse me while I enjoy the cool breeze blowing through the screen and a choice cup of coffee.
