Music Monday - Hot Child in the City

When Nick Gilder moved from Canada to Los Angeles he was amazed at the underage girls roaming the streets making money in unspeakable ways. He was also not too impressed with the nonchalant attitude of the times. So he stirred up some controversy with this song. He also stayed #1 on the charts for while too. Pimps that take advantage of the distressed and downtrodden have a special place reserved in the bowels of Hell.

All in all, a catchy tune that has seen a lot of airplay in movies recently.

"You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing. What! Is it nothing to be happy? Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long? Never in his life will he be so busy again."
~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762
