Bozo is Back

The XP/Vista/Windows 7 controversy is still alive. Ballmer has gotten in the act and made some comments about it. When you filter through it all, his usual ability to make no sense whatsoever is apparent. Check out the article at CNetNews.com. If you understand this and can find new information about the subject at hand, please let me know. You might want to try DailyTech. Why is all this an issue? Money.

Instead of being content with worldwide domination in the operating system market, it looks to me like Ballmer wants to kill XP thinking it will force people to upgrade. Sorry dude, it just ain't thay way. Talk to folks on the street. Get realistic opinions. I have XP machines. I have Windows 2000 machines. There's a Linux machine or two around the beach house. Even FreeBSD. But, I am writing this on a Vista Ultimate machine. My feeling is that XP is very good. Vista is pretty good too - if you have the hardware. Please understand that operating systems do need to evolve as technology evolves.

Ballmer is just stirring the kettle. He couldn't think of anything constructive so he brings up a sore subject. The boy just ain't right. Down South we'd say that he's a few turnips shy of a bushel. It'll be so nice to see him retire. He's hard to ignore though. Trust what Bill Gates has to say about Microsoft. Not Steve Ballmer. And yes, that is Bozo's picture. No kiddin'.
