Ramblings, opinions, and general meanderings from the Deep South

Had a nice trip and visit yesterday. Mother was in a great mood and we spent time looking around the NW Mississippi area. You know, there's no cookin' like Mom's. Departed early evening and immediately went to traffic hell on Goodman Road. There must be some law in the Horn Lake, Southaven, Olive Branch, Memphis area that demands people doing 20mph under the speed limit must bear to the left and not move over to the right lane under ANY circumstances. Hate to drive an ambulance or a fire truck in that area. The new speed capabilities of the "leadsled" came in handy when avoiding these fools. Didn't have to worry about speed traps, radar, etc., because all the local PDs were busy with wrecks, most of which probably occurred in the left lane. After reaching Hwy 78, the return trip was a pleasure. The beach house looked good at sundown.

Sometimes living is more important than work. Today may blow up as Mondays do on occasion, but yesterday was spent with someone I love. Title block? From my favorite Jimmy Buffett song, One Particular Harbor.
