For all you Mothers out there...

Just finished talking to Mother. She's on the way to Sunday School and in good spirits. Am in an area where cell phone reception is nominal and finally found a spot where we could talk for a few minutes. Great knowing she's in a good mood and that my brother and his family will be there today. Hopefully, Dock gets some Mom time next weekend. Work and receivables dictate.

So many great things have been written about Mothers:

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed."
-Proverbs 31:28

"All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his."
—Oscar Wilde

"The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness."
-Honore de Balzac

"Every mother is like Moses. She does not enter the promised land. She prepares a world she will not see."
-Pope Paul VI

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."
-Washington Irving

It's so nice to realize that in my youth as I was climbing fool's hill that Mom was there to help me. God knows it was a long trip and sometimes that hill is STILL there to climb. My blessings have been great in this life and she is one that I cherish. Children, hug your Mothers today. And Mothers, please continue to hug us back.

"Momma, I think of you and kiss my bicep."
-Arnold the Possum
