Alternative

After using Open Office for a while, my verdict is this is a great free office suite that will interface with Microsoft Office. You can pull Microsoft .docs,.docks .xls (spreadsheet), etc., into Open Office and go right on working. Or formulate such items in Open Office from the get go. Version 3.2 is out of beta and certainly ready for primetime. I am very impressed with this free application. Be sure and go online and look at the free template selection. Navigation is somewhat different, but easy enough. The help section is tremendous. If you don't have the big bucks for Microsoft's Suite then this is a viable alternative. Take a look and see what you think.

I really like this office suite.
We use it at work and have no problems.
There are some very good and cool extensions for this suite available now.

I'm on my fourth year of Open Office - it keeps getting better and better.
