Summertime

It's hot. When outside or traveling today take care not to overheat or dehydrate. If you are not in an air conditioned facility find one. Travel in remote areas can be especially dangerous. Have beverages on hand and keep that cell phone handy. In the Deep South we have to be careful most of the summer and seem to adapt, but that is not necessarily enough to ward off heat stroke. Go to Weather.com, type in your zip code at the top and check out your area. Please don't take chances.

It is very sad to know that people lose their lives due to overheating this day and time. Any power company executive types that will turn off power this time of year should be horsewhipped and then gut shot. You can always wear more clothes in the winter, but the opposite is not viable. Yes, conserve energy, but don't get goofy with it. Protect those pets too! They are your responsibility.

"People don't notice whether it's winter or summer when they're happy."
~Anton Chekhov
