Excellence

Qantas Airlines once again landed a jetliner under duress without the loss of life. Go Qantas. This is an airline from Australia that operates over 200 planes worldwide and has a tremendous safety record. Even though an oxygen tank exploded onboard leaving a hole in the fuselage the plane landed safely on July the 25th.

Contrary to Dustin Hoffman's statement in the movie Rainman 62 lives have been lost on their planes when they were serving as part of the Royal Air Force during World War II. Still, their commercial record of passenger flights is spotted with very few plane mishaps that have never resulted in fatalities.

It's nice to see people striving for top notch quality...especially where human life is concerned. Read more at Reuters.

"If black boxes survive air crashes, why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?"
