Shoot First Then You Don't Have To Ask Questions!

At times we have to deal with different things in life we do not favor. The Good Lord knows that the beach house is aware. Tech types are walking targets. If we change a piece of hardware and newly installed software or proprietary software goes awry then the hardware will be blamed. It never fails. And the software people will NEVER admit to being at fault about anything. If you ever have an experience where software writers own up to making a mistake of ANY kind please contact me. I want as much notice as possible to prepare for that major geological event - when the world stops spinning. Yet, we tech types continue through life somewhat satisfied because we know something. God knows the real truth and it will be dealt with accordingly when the "Big Book" is opened. That said, let me venture into the meat of today's topic.

I don't like Outlook. Never have. Don't like Exchange either. Two areas that I wish Microsoft had never created. Talking to a local tech the other day brought to mind some old nightmares about Outlook and please don't confuse this application with Outlook Express. They are, beyond a shadow of a doubt, different programs. She mentioned that clients using Outlook, especially with Exchange, were forever having problems. Most stem from not cleaning out your inbox properly. DELETE THOSE UNNECESSARY EMAILS! After talking to several more tech types everyone agrees. Know something else? I've never met a tech that uses Outlook. Maybe we should? Better yet, ask us why we don't?! All this said let me give everyone a good link that concerns Outlook: Add Your GMail Account to Outlook. While you're there take a look around the How-To Geek site. It's a stockpile of information. Hats off to a good effort Mr. Geek!

Enjoy Saturday. The weather here is beautiful. Please go enjoy it while I put the next machine in Alpha spot on the bench. Stay casual. Or get casual.

"Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn."
