Major mojo failures

Upon arising, I check my favorite weather site, Intellicast, and sometimes The Weather Channel. Amazes me as to how both sites can predict the same weather for one location and vary so much. The Weather Channel is so busy trying to get people to fill out some kinda' forms it's ridiculous. This morning another alternative was tried WTVA-TV, local NBC-TV affiliate. They have YESTERDAY's weather listed. Now that's really helpful in planning TODAY's work.

If anyone has any info on how to install SP2 on a Dell or HP PC, say, built within the last 2 years, please let me in on the mojo. I am tired of hearing one or two people sing praises and 50 others screaming and yelling about this pain in the ass patch which should NOT be necessary in the first place. Up until Service Pack 2 Microsoft had issued a steady stream of patches that resolved the woes created by Satan's ilk, the virus writers, etc.

Can you believe that Microsoft is going to issue a second version of XP? Remember, Longhorn is not due out until late 2006 so they probably think the coffers need refilling. Bet XP2 will have SP2 built in and cure all the ills that accompany installing it now! I say don't buy the new version. This is akin to Apple tactics! What issue of Jaguar are they on now?

Must go now. Have an appointment with the local vudu highpriestess to see if she has any insight on SP2 or weather forecasting. She'll probably recommend FreeBSD or Linux for both.
