The filming of The Hobbit with Peter Jackson at the helm looks like it is going into production. This will be soooo much fun because the Purple Giraffe will be able to attend with our regular group of nerdlings to watch the prequel to the Lord of the Rings. Read all about it at TheOneRing.net. Thanks goes out to Slashdot for a great link. It pleases me to no end that the story will be in two parts. That's a lotta fun and fantasy for just one movie. This should be awesome.
Jackson is a fellow nerd and definitely a genius. Just think, he still has the Shire intact from the Ring trilogy and that was some impressive movie making. They had built the set two years before filming so it would have a natural look. Yep, he's a genius in the 1st degree. So fellow LOTR fans, get ready! Wish it was out today!
Mr. Easley, thank you for introducing me to these wonderful books. You have created huge chapters of joy not only in my life, but in many that surround me including my two LOTR addicted daughters. Such tremendous story telling is truly a blessing and there's no doubt in my mind that God was working His love for us through John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. Larry my brother, thanks, thanks a lot!
