Back in 1993 a file format, .pdf, was created by Adobe. PDF is short for Portable Document File. Since then several versions of the .pdf reader have been issued for free. These freebies encouraged folks to use this format. Where Adobe hooked you was not giving you the ability to write in .pdf format. Well raspberries I say! Here's a great download that will write in .pdf. It is not only free, it's opensource. The name is PDF Creator. You can find it at SourceForge.net. Probably by the time this is posted this program will have been downloaded over 3,000,000 times. Take that, Adobe! You missed ripping us off to the tune of several hundred dollars.
Adobe's Reader (for .pdf) is all over the net and can be downloaded from many sites. Beware the almost hidden boxes that make you download various internet browser toolbars. You don't need them. Adobe is not a user friendly company. They are rude, crude and I think they don't give a tinker's damn about their customers. But, they are big. Like Intuit (Quickbooks) and Peachtree they are money grubbing entities that send all their support people to Hateful School. Yet, we have to contend. Let's contend away and use this free opensource program. It delights and tickles me to give everyone an opportunity to have this free download. Can you tell?
