TV on Your PC, It's a Freebie Too!!!

How about 5247 TV channels on your computer? Would like the ability to "Tivo or DVR" these channels? Is it okay if this is a free download and easy to install? Are you running Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux? Did you answer yes to all the questions? Go to Miro. Please don't install this on an old, slow PC. You need a present day machine that has some speed and memory. You'll probably be okay if you purchased your machine within the past few years. Please remember, memory is like closet space and kitchen cabinets - you can't have too much! This is an open source program and an answer to a question that has been asked many times over the past few years. I've downloaded it and have it installed and will report on usage after a few days. It comes highly recommended. Probably a great companion for HULU, huh? You might want to invest in a large hard drive before it's over, lol. I need input too. Let me know what you think.

"Seeing a murder on television... can help work off one's antagonisms. And if you haven't any antagonisms, the commercials will give you some."
~Alfred Hitchcock

EDIT: After some review I've found this not to be the end-all, do-all program. It is good. Major networks aren't listed although some shows can be found. There's plenty of interesting stuff though. If you liked TechTV (the greatest TV channel of all time) you'll love Miro. It has many techy type feeds.

For the price Miro is well worth downloading. BTW, I advise NOT to let it become part of the startup group. Put your icon on the desktop and launch from there. Don't let it reside in the systray (bottom right corner of screen) where it will eat resources. All in all this looks like a good application and it is fun to explore because of the diversity of selection.

If you are looking for more standard type programming sign up for HULU. It's free too.
