Fun Buying Roast Beast and Produce

I live within walking distance of a grocery store. It's a good market, but that said, usually vittles are purchased about 7 miles up the road in a small community called Guntown, MS. It's a nice peaceful town and the population is slightly over 1,100. A great battle was fought near here during that Yankee War of Aggression and Nathan Bedford Forrest opened a large can of whupass. Anyway, they've a grocer there named Sam Mitchell that's the bomb! It is so nice to go in and see pleasant happy folks. People will stop what they're doing and help you.

Sam is expanding Mitchell's Grocery. Glad to see that. BTW, he has the best butchers and meat counter in all the Deep South. Prices are reasonable and they'll order stuff for ya. His employees are loyal and turnover is not that great as far as people. This is a fun way to shop. It's reminiscent of the days on this planet when people had manners and spoke with a smile on their faces. It's a clean, well-lighted place.

It's been rough the past couple of weeks and the effort to try and regain ground is trying and tiring at times. Med changes make me irritable and sometimes the frustration has had me quackers. The bathroom and dining/bar area are on the cleaning agenda tonight. Then tomorrow the kitchen. With a new stock of cleaning supplies and the gusto of a hound dawg the beach house shall once again reach its sub-normal standard. There's food and refreshing beverages too!

Why am I babbling about all these things? Nothing like a trip to Mitchell's Grocery to kick the spirits up. Plus it always makes me chuckle when General Forrest's tactics with the boys in blue come to mind. We might not have won the war, but we sure did fight like hell at Brice's Crossroads, lol. Please forgive me my Northern friends, after all, y'all did win.
