Catfish are jumpin'

It is summertime in the Deep South. Even in the early morning hours the air is so heavy that it feels like an extra layer of clothing. Early morning starts for outdoor work are mandatory this time of the year. Yet, it's nice to travel in light traffic, coffee seems to taste better this early and there is an illusion of calmness to be enjoyed. Exhaustion will be prevelant come the afternoon. Humidity and heat sap strength. Somewhere there's a prayer in here. Thanks for another day.

The melancholy is over. Time to 'turn to' and head out. Make Monday casual. Just think, you could be out in this heat.

"A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken."
