Bitchslap Saturday Night

I have played an online game periodically since December 2005. It's called Guild Wars. This was fun pastime in the beginning. It has evolved into a horrible, frustrating experience each time I try to play the final 3 missions in the newest chapter of the game (Nightfall) or do a stupid version of that God Awful Pac-Man that is necessary for accomplishing certain parts of the storyline. Why did they stick this stupid, completely unrelated solo mission smack dab in the middle of everything? The goons that wrote this part of the game are sadists.

My advice is find some other game or purchase the first two chapters and forget the last one. It continues to be filled with negative changes and the idiots at ArenaNet/NCSoft constantly negate abilities and skills needed to finish the game through weekly updates. The consistency of gameplay is filled with glitches and staggers that usually find you defeated almost immediately. You'd think they'd try to improve, but overall gameplay steadily gets worse.

And damn it all, since some folks do not have relevant comments anymore and will just write anything instead of making pertinent remarks about the post I will certainly not appreciate any comments now. If you disagree, do it quietly in your own privacy. Thank you to those that do post good comments. It further infuriates me to be so negative about something that brought joy to my life simply because the greedy owners are not taking care of business. This not a matter for discussion.

Fellow Guild members need to contact me by email or phone and possibly help set up an election for a new Guild Leader. With my present attitude, that position of leadership needs to go to someone else. This mild obsession is to be broken. No one needs this much frustration over a silly ass game.

Now for bed , some rest and a start tomorrow accomplishing things in the "real" world. Enough is enough.

Ernestine, You Da Bomb!

Cellphone technology? It sucks. Someone should put a stop to the barnyard material put out by AT&T, least amount of dropped calls my ass. If this is true then all other cellphone services can't be working. Think about it, when was the last time you actually said goodbye to someone in a cellphone conversation?

Ashby Rhett Culpepper, III, Esq., Jr., recently tripped to Texas and assures me that not all areas of the country has the same sorry service that exists in Northeast Mississippi. Then some people that live in far off places claim to have the very same problem - cellphones work at the lower end of the technology pool. Frustrating.

The phones are too delicate and most don't last. Beagle, Mudslingr and I have the Sony z520s. They have lines in their screens and the camera on the beach house phone died at an early date. Well, the camera not working doesn't matter because I never use it. Don't know how to use it. When AT&T took over our upgrade plan was moved to December instead of this past March. That sucks too. AT&T sucks. Yet people spend over $600.00 for iPhones. Brings to mind the Lil Jon phrase, "What?!?!?"

Let's see, back many years ago the guv'ment people made AT&T break up into all the babybells. This was a joke and everyone knew it. Now they've let it reassemble. This bodes ill winds blowing at our cellphone towers. Recently they absorbed Cingular and that seems like natural progression for a company that is trying to devour the consuming public and has no manners whatsoever. As Ernestine says, "We're the phone company, we don't care."

The local Cingular store by the Barnes Crossing Mall has some of the rudest people in the area working and managing. They compete with the Evil Empire. Evil Empire? That's COMCAST customer service department in Huntsville, AL which controls the local area. If you call them and Evil Renee answers, hang up. No need talking to the devil. Her sister manages the Cingular store mentioned. Easiest way to get service from her is to draw a pentagram on the ground and say her name 3 times.

Enough of the whine. Do you agree? Disagree? Make comments. Inquiring minds wanna know...

"What is the city but the people?" ~William Shakespeare

People occasionally ask where my sources come from concerning content. There's huge marsupial that shows up at the beach house and is sometimes funny, sometimes downright aggravating. Arnold has visited since my first days here. Many people will email or call with information. Things are picked up in the workplace too. People are the greatest source. The internet is secondary. I don't read the local paper and TV is limited to an occasional view of Fox News, some PBS (I like Tavis Smiley), and an occasional glance at MSNBC.

The other night I'd accidentally left the TV on NBC Memphis by mistake. Usually I watch the local Tupelo NBC repeater. While working on a PC I reached over, turned the TV on and was appalled at the content of Mempho newso. There had been 3 shootings, 2 bodies found and that butt ugly poor excuse for a mayor, Slicker than Teflon Willie Herrington, was bitching about how people don't like him. He needs help. Someone will probably shoot him. That seems to be a favorite sport of Memphians, killing their fellow man. After a few disgusting, depressing minutes the TV was turned off.

It's sad that this town has become such a sewer. When Wyeth Chandler was mayor back many years ago the city's finances were in great shape, it was always in the top ten as far as cleanest cities in the nation, people did not fear for their lives when walking the streets and it was booming. Now, when crossing this creepy weird town it's recommended to gas up, check your tires, roll up the windows and lock the doors at least 20 miles before the city limits. Then pray. Much of the downfall is connected to the term of office that has been held by Teflon Willie. Sad. Why don't Memphians change all this? Apathy? Tupelo, please take note. As you grow make sure control is not lost. King Crimson said it best, "The world is a dangerous place."

Sorry about the lapse in optimism. Just want my fellow Mississippians to exercise caution when headed towards this junction of violence. Oh yeh, a woman mugged at WolfChase mall was also reported during that news broadcast. An 80 year old man was mugged in a bathroom at the Veterans Hospital!!! He fought back, being an ex Golden Gloves boxer, and the big goofy dude wannabe mugger was jailed. Enough!! Now it's time to read Calvin and Hobbes, get my head right and enjoy another day in paradise! Peace out.
