According to Ryan Paul at ArsTechnica the three of the most popular internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox & Safari) were hacked in a competition held by CanSecWest. Only Google's new browser Chrome stood up to the test on the first day of exploits. Charlie Miller broke into the Apple Safari browser in less than 10 seconds!
This is a gathering of security types and they weren't permitted the use of any plugins during this first round of competition. They will have another go at all browsers armed with their hacking tools and I await the results. In the meantime the beach house will take another look at Google Chrome. It'll be hard to tear me away from Firefox though.
Gotta go. Headed to the clinic to find out why my back bothers me all the time instead of the usual once or twice a month. That's enough whining for Monday morning. Have a casual day!
"While you are destroying your mind watching the worthless, brain-rotting drivel on TV, we on the Internet are exchanging, freely and openly, the most uninhibited, intimate and, yes, shocking details about our config.sys settings."
