Building A Machine

Often I am asked about how you build a custom computer. First you pick out the desired hardware, make sure it is all compatible, then start the assembly procedure. Take your time, seek advice and time your time. Then gather the right tools, download your drivers and latest manuals and take you time. Check to see if there are any firmware updates for you different hardware, make sure you have ample workspace and take your time. Don't hesitate to seek help and . . . take your time.

Go look at the Wiki-How article on how to build a computer. While reading it and watching the video, take your time. You might even want to print this excellent set of instructions before starting. One last piece of advice, absolutely, positively do not throw tools or parts. It really doesn't help. The voice of experience speaks.

My back hurts, my spine is screaming and I don't love Elvis. Time to medicate. Later.
